Senior Electrical Engineer

Delve’s Electrical Engineering team is looking to add a talented Electrical Engineer to our expanding product development team. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team to create innovative solutions for our clients through our highly collaborative design process. You will work on products across industries, including consumer good, commercial products, transportation, and medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader for project teams, applying engineering principles, technical knowledge, experience, and research to product development efforts.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to staff-level engineers, as well as contribute to development and refinement of departmental best practices
• Develop creative and functional electronics designs based upon the needs of our clients 
• Represent electrical engineering considerations within multi-disciplinary development teams 
• Provide insights into emerging technologies and uncovering, identifying, and creating business and product opportunities for our clients during strategic conceptualization efforts 
• Develop innovative product concepts through a process of collaborative brainstorming and verifying feasibility with a combination of analytical tools and physical modeling 
• Translate user needs into defined product metrics 
• Interact with our valued clients through meetings, presentations, design reviews and informal interactions - building trust and respect through a highly collaborative development process 

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in electronics hardware development

Preferred Experience 

• You are a creative conceptualizer with the ability to effectively envision and communicate concepts 
• You have experience with Altium or other electrical CAD software 
• You have experience developing microprocessor based electronic solutions  
• You have experience with integrated sensors into hardware solutions  
• You have experience with printed circuit board layout considerations and developing and executing circuit board test plans 
• You have experience developing hardware solutions for one or more of these communication protocols: Ethernet, SPI, I2C, Wifi, Bluetooth and other wireless protocols 
• You have experience developing actuation (motors, solenoids, etc.) solutions 
• You have a high level of comfort in all client-facing activities and great interpersonal skills
• You have excellent writing and presentation skills both needed for workshop facilitation and client presentations
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, because sometimes that leads to the most unique, unexpected design solutions
• You want to work in an environment where things move quickly, and you're happy to adapt as situations shift
