Summary of Essential Duties:
- Participate and communicate well in customer debrief meetings as requested.
- Responsible for overall crew performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Monitor safe work practices, environmental compliance, and proper housekeeping.
- Ensure the aircraft stays on schedule; notify Supervisor, Program or Project Manager if issues arise.
- Perform advance level troubleshooting and repairs.
- Implement the maintenance standards, methods, and procedures utilized by Contour to ensure compliance with the RSM, Operations Specifications, Federal Aviation Regulations, and manufacturers recommendations.
- Ensure that subordinate maintenance personnel are qualified to perform the maintenance procedures assigned and the appropriate technical documentation is utilized.
- Supervise and direct assigned maintenance personnel in the accomplishment of safe, on-time, completion of maintenance procedures in a quality fashion.
- Establish crew start and stop times to maintain delivery schedules.
- Approve overtime when necessary and approve requests for paid time off of assigned crew per company policies.
- Provide continuity of maintenance when shift changes or work assignment changes occur in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure the proper completion of maintenance logs for work in progress, work completed, or work carried over as well as other required forms and records.
- Ensure that tools, support equipment and facilities are inspected and maintained in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Make requests or otherwise arrange for ground support equipment and tooling when needed.
- Assist and/or provide quarterly and annual performance reviews of assigned personnel.
- Recommend changes to crew staffing levels and skill set requirements to management.
- Recommends technical training courses for team members based upon needs and abilities.
- Coordinate and schedule with other departments the expertise needed to complete work projects and packages.
- Work with outside vendors, internal project management and other technicians to assist with troubleshooting or resolution of any production related matter.
- Performs special projects and/or other duties as assigned or required by leadership.
Work Environment:
- Airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions including hot or cold weather.
- Exposed to noise and vibrations when testing engines on a weekly basis.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling
- Standing on feet for extended periods of time
- Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally, with assistance from co-workers or tools
- Able to use stairs, scaffolding, and/or ladders of varying heights without assistance.
- Occasionally exposed to cramped workspaces that require getting into awkward positions.
- Able to work varying schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts could be scheduled from 8 to 10 hours or more.
- Regularly wear protective gear, such as gloves or earmuffs.
