We are looking for a talented, hardworking and detail-oriented individual for our full-time Real Estate Analyst position at our Headquarters location in Village Pointe!


A Real Estate Analyst's responsibilities include:

  • Independent valuing of various types of real estate for lending and/or collection activity

  • Internal evaluations, including the determination of appropriate appraisal methodology and reviews of completed internal evaluations

  • Reviews of external appraisals and AVM's

  • Property condition reports

  • Coordinates the collection and verification of MLS sales data and performs statistical analysis of market and appraisal data

  • Responsible for determining validity in various valuation reports such as appraisals, broker price opinions (BPO's), automated valuation models (AVM's) and other Valuation products. The analyst utilizes many resources and tools to assist in determining a reconciled value of real estate, such as Web-based real estate clearing houses, public records, internal servicing documents including prior appraisals. loan documents and other various sources are used in the process of generating a reconciliation.

  • Inspecting new construction projects and uses knowledge of construction budgets and real estate to provide assessment of construction progress

  • Physical inspections

  • Approvals and file maintenance

  • Maintain communication with lenders and staff

  • Works with bank staff to follow all FIRREA rules and have bank adhere to internal/regulatory requirements.

  • Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements including appraisal industry's concepts and practices

  • Communicates with appraisers, loan originators, and processors in order to resolve any outstanding appraisal issues.

  • Provide responsive customer service to external vendors and internal customers (i.e., loan officers, loan admin, senior management, appraisers etc.)

  • Solicit bids and administer engagements of external vendors including contracts, vendor correspondence, etc. and tracking of appraisal reports.

  • Process vendor reports and invoices upon receipt in accordance with bank policies and procedures

  • Conduct reviews of appraisals and other valuation products, by approving or declining the reports.

  • Analyzes the reasonableness of the appraisals to confirm reported value is supported for financing purposes while evaluating report completion methodology

  • Assess submitted appraisal reports by checking for mathematical accuracy, USPAP compliance, a sufficiently descriptive narrative and conformity to bank policy and Interagency Guidelines.

  • Mediate between the loan production teams and appraisers to maintain independence and impartiality in the process.

  • Work closely with the manager and team coordinator to ensure that the appropriate reports are being ordered and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Mercury Admin — update permissions, add employees, remove employees and update appraiser information.

  • Maintain appraiser files and production files.

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in the real estate industry and comfortable with Real Estate Lending Rules and Regulations.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 

  • Ability to function and produce quality reports/reviews under high volume and deadline orientated work-flow.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adhere to established deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on their own.

  • Basic PC and office equipment skills including Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel.
