About the Job

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside engineers, designers, and researchers in a dynamic development environment. You will participate in the daily activities of the Mechanical Engineering team, creating meaningful solutions to challenging product design problems. This is a hybrid role from either our Madison, WI or Philadelphia, PA studio.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute mechanical design activities: CAD (Solidworks preferred), design for manufacturability for a range of manufacturing processes (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), prototyping, testing, engineering analyses including FEA simulation, and technical documentation.

  • Oversee the above mechanical design activities of other engineers as a project Technical Lead.

  • Drive engineering excellence by acting as a mentor to junior engineers and working with the Director of Mechanical Engineering to improve departmental processes and procedures.

  • Oversee and support the planning and preparation of design deliverables and client presentations. Ensure deliverables are met per client expectations and project proposals.

  • You want to work in an environment where things move quickly, and you're happy to adapt as situations shift
  • You act with an inclusive mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • You are motivated by change and see meaningful opportunities to adapt how we design and collaborate, and what we deliver. You have a point of view of equity, inclusion, and diversity, and have an interest in striving for positive progress in this area.
