What We’re Looking For:

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role on the Sugarfina team. You will work alongside all departments to complete all the day-to-day accounting functions.  This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun, high-growth company.


  • Maintain daily accounting processes, which includes the full functions of accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, inventory adjustments and maintain fixed asset schedules

  • Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts

  • Provide analysis on strategic initiatives and special projects

  • Be a part of a rockstar team.  We pride ourselves on hiring great people who work well together.  You’ll be in frequent communication with everyone on our team, including marketing, operations, finance, visual merchandising, customer service and retail stores.  Everyone works together to share learnings, celebrate successes, troubleshoot problems and drive the company to become a little better every day.

  • Flexibility is a necessity as overtime may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business that will require some weekends, evenings, and holidays. The general working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.   

Education & Skills:

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a retail background.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), accounting systems, and ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of GAAP and financial systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills needed in interacting with various departments
  • Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, and wholesale a plus
