What You Will Do:

The Operations Manager is responsible for accurately and efficiently managing complex logistics for all groups attending programs, ensuring a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for guests while on site, and coordinating closely with other campus departments including Education, Facilities and Food Service to ensure a seamless customer experience. This position reports to the Director of Operations and takes place at our campus in Yosemite National Park.

Your primary job will be to:

  • Communicate regularly with Group Coordinators within one month prior to the program to finalize logistics and set expectations for learning and overall program outcomes.

  • Collect and process all paperwork for attending programs.

  • Ensure smooth program implementation 

  • Prepare weekly reports for participant lodgings, meals and transportation 

  • Hire, supervise and train 4-6 On Site Operation Team members in Curry Village.

  • Prepare weekly Educator and Site Manager notes/reports.

  • Ensure that medical and dietary information is received from attending groups and coordinates any necessary special arrangements with all appropriate staff.

  • Address risk management concerns with clients/vendors and coordinate necessary modifications with associated staff. Works closely with Campus and National Director of Risk Management on a case by case basis and promotes implementation of Risk Management policies.

  • Perform duties of the Valley Site Manager on departure days as needed.

  • Maintain online registration system.

  • Rotating Manager On Call Duties. 

  • Occasional weekend work.

  • Participate in monthly Yosemite Management Team meetings. 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • $42-45,000 annual salary

Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Relevant administrative, operations or educational experience.

  • Organized and able to balance competing logistics between programs while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and maintain positive working relationships with staff and guests.

  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity in the workplace

  • Demonstrated office experience including, managing and communicating information quickly and accurately.

  • Experience with Google Suite of apps (Calendar, Gmail, Sheets and Docs) and database management or CRMs.

  • Valid driver’s license
