POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for purchasing, forecasting, and inventory accounting to support the day-to-day operations of the Business Development, CLIA, and R&D business units.  Essential to this role is an ability to leverage Supply Chain management, and ERP system experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage the procurement processes to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory, division-level and ERP system requirements.
• Interface with internal customers and suppliers to ensure that materials and services are delivered on-time and in accordance with the specifications and documented quality requirements.
• Manage internal requests for materials, including verifying availability, and issuing from inventory management system.
• Maintain stockroom inventory supply through the analysis of consumption, reorder points, and order quantities in conjunction with vendor representatives.
• Submit purchase requisitions and online orders for all materials to support laboratory operations.
• Work with the purchasing team to support supplier relationships through price negotiations, resolving discrepancies, and conveying quality and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate, and align site specific activities with division level supply chain team and procurement processes.
• Schedule and support equipment maintenance and service contracts on critical laboratory equipment.
• Support departmental initiatives such as process implementation, and administration.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university;
• 2-3 years relevant experience
