Practice Areas:

 

  • Urban Living- You are passionate about improving the built environment in communities, and have experience in executing, collaborating, and designing complex multifamily mid-rise and high-rise projects.

  • Civic You are passionate and experienced in the design and documentation of fire/police stations, municipal offices, recreation/community centers, libraries, or maintenance/ transportation facilities.

 

The Architect plans, coordinates, and engages in production drawing and construction detailing. produces CD sets and coordinates activities of assigned projects to ensure project objectives and deliverables are accomplished. Must approach work with a creative curiosity and understand project processes including conceptual design, programming, documentation and construction administration. Collaborates on project scope and design elements, prepares presentations, and executes design documentation. Reviews project scope to determine time frame, resources requirements, and procedures and initiates course corrections, as necessary. OZ sees the Architect as a key professional staff member and worth rigorous and deep investment into professional training; we provide a formal, hands-on mentoring program with numerous tools and touchpoints by our senior architects/managers that will help and track progress towards the next higher Role and/or licensure. We know that training and mentoring are key to mutual success for our firm, staff, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related degree from an accredited program
  • 4 + years of experience in architectural design and documentation
  • Experience in mentoring junior-level staff
  • Registered Architect or ARE exams in progress
  • Proficiency with Revit and other design technology programs (Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid)
  • Enthusiasm and determination to contribute to OZs development, teamwork, and culture

Salary: $65,000-$100,000 depending on knowledge, skills, and experience
