The AOCC is a collaborative environment where terminal, airside, safety & security related operational communications and coordination is provided during regular, irregular and/or emergency conditions. The AOCC ensures situational awareness is sustained for airport operations, maintenance, airport police, fire/rescue personnel, tenants, airlines, federal agencies, various departments and leadership throughout the airport, and the public.Under the supervision of the Emergency Preparedness Manager, the AOCC Administrator will be assigned duties relating to the administrative and operational functions of the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC), Airport Emergency Operations Center, and the Safety Management System (SMS).
Essential Functions- AOCC

- Update and maintain policies, procedures, and other documentation related to the AOCC (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Training Manuals, and Job Reference Guides).
- Serve as the recipient of public record requests and process requests in accordance with public record policies.
- Maintain training records, oversee the Dispatcher and AOCC Specialist promotion program, and monitor/ensure the renewal of Telecommunicator certifications.
- Manage the AOCC Quality Assurance Program.
- Monitor the status of the equipment inside the AOCC. When issues are detected, acts as the liaison between the AOCC and IT to ensure issues are rectified.
Essential Functions- Emergency Preparedness
- Assist in coordinating emergency management activities, including building/facilitating tabletop exercises and full-scale exercises in accordance with 14 CFR 139.325.
- When activated, participate in the Airport Emergency Operations Center.
- In the absence of the Emergency Preparedness Manager, represents him/her during emergency events.
Essential Functions- SMS
- Assist in the development and implementation of the SMS at JAX in accordance with 14 CFR 139.403B.
- Triage, disseminate and track SMS hazard reports and maintain records in accordance with the FAA approved SMS Manual.
- Participate on Safety Risk Management panels and participate in working groups related to airfield and ramp safety.
