Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the compilation and analysis of financial information for submission to obtain approval of new and renewal surety bonds, issuing and billing of surety bonds as well as general customer service relating to our surety bond book of business.  This position is required to have extensive bond experience to include contract and commercial surety bonds.        


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client and company requests for action and information on any bond-related matter.  Review and analyze issues in collaboration with Producers, Bond Companies, and appropriate Support Department personnel
  • Understand and adhere to binding authority as provided by companies
  • Ensure processing and invoicing of new bonds and renewals are completed in a timely manner
  • Follow up with clients to obtain information required for the bond company and track approval status
  • Execute bonds, riders, extensions, consents of surety, and continuation certificates
  • Enter and update bonds in agency management system accurately
  • Track payments to ensure timely collection of premiums and reconcile accounting items on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Assist Producer and Account Executive in preparing new bond account submissions
  • Review documents for accuracy and request corrections as needed
  • Prepare marketing materials as necessary
  • Perform E&O compliance and workflow audits as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Maintain current Property & Casualty Agent license, CPCU or AFSB designation, a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial surety underwriting or service role
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all types of Surety bonds, applications, and financial data
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional in appearance and business conduct with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be physically present to complete duties & responsibilities (stamp/seal/mail bonds) during office hours.
