EDUCATIONAL AIDS PRODUCTION WORKER

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Reports to the Educational Aids Production Supervisor. Manufacture materials that will include the following tasks: packaging, die cutting, assembly, vacuum forming, sanding, gluing, hand painting, riveting, and sonic welding. Maintain basic records for the work produced, including appropriate documentation of Quality Control. Other duties may be assigned.

 

EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS, AND WORK AIDS

 

Sonic welder, vacuum form machine, drill press, rivet machine, trim press, band saw, grommet setting machine, arbor press, and miscellaneous hand tools, including knowing how to read a ruler. Other equipment, machines, tools, and work aids may be used.
 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


Must be able to follow detailed instructions, written and verbal. Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions and have basic written and mathematical skills. Must be able to make decisions based on processes. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and have the ability to learn additional software. Standing, stooping, bending, grasping and lifting up to 40 lbs. or more occasionally is required.  Six months experience in a related area preferred.

 

COMPENSATION

 

New Hire Rate:   $16.74    After 45 days worked:   $17.74


Hours:     7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday
                7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday (with every other Friday off)
