Description

  • Manage all aspects of manufacturing production; ensure safety of equipment and operating procedures; supervise a team of Supervisors, Area Managers, and/or Engineers with responsibilities for a variety of production operations; meet production schedules and customer requirements
  • Identify process improvement initiatives and execute projects to improve safety, quality, cost and productivity
  • Employ Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices; conduct Kaizen events; drive 5S activities and visual management
  • Coordinate with other plant departments including: Engineering, Quality, Sales, Shipping and Human Resources to ensure customer needs are met
  • Support Quality Control circle activities, corrective action reviews and root cause analyses
  • Track and report on production KPIs which may include: safety, headcounts, efficiency, schedule attainment, OEE, productivity, production volumes, downtime, on time delivery etc.; Analyze data and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related field required
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Operations; including supervision
  • Understand business financial reports and manufacturing impacts on financials
  • Strong emphasis on state and local safety regulations, safety compliance and training
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
