SUMMARY OF POSITION
An enthusiastic, creative and dependable group sales intern to collaborate with the group sales team in each stage of group development for Myrtle Beach. Your work will include developing, growing, and securing additional group business for the Myrtle Beach area.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Development of locally-made, sustainable, culinary and historical point of interest content for groups including development of itineraries and experiences for each.
- Assist with development of training videos for travel advisors and international tour operators.
- Assist with creating sales support materials as assigned by group sales department.
- Assist with developing list of potential clients thru Mint+ software for sales managers to prospect.
- Assist with creation of sales support materials as assigned by group sales department.
- Assist with development of locally made, culinary and historical point of interest content including an itinerary.
- Assist in planning and staffing of trade shows or events.
- Provide administrative support to management when required.
- Assist in planning and hosting group site inspections, familiarization tours and events.
- Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other team members.
- Other duties as assigned as deemed necessary to support the Group Sales team or other departments.
