Job Summary: The CAC Specialty Summer Internship Program provides rising college seniors with practical, hands-on experience within the corporate risk management, insurance and banking industries. Interns in this program will have exposure to finance, negotiations, and risk management. Interns will collaborate on projects as well as contribute to their specialty teams, making this a dynamic opportunity.


Term: June 5, 2023- July 28, 2023, eight-week immersive program


Course Credit/Salary: CAC Specialty will work with students to meet required course criteria for those who are obtaining academic credit for their summer internship. This is a paid internship program.


Internship opportunity:

  • Work at the fastest growing insurance brokerage firm with integrated investment banking services
  • Interface with clients on corporate risk management products and solutions
  • Develop relationships with leading insurance markets (AIG, Chubb, The Hartford, etc.)
  • Partner with senior leaders at CAC and be matched with a mentor
  • Work on projects with specialty team members as well as intern group presentations
  • Take part in team building exercises, development days, and community service initiatives
  • Gain corporate experience and professional training
  • Be considered for full-time employment post-graduation in one of CACs nine offices



  • Understanding of corporate risk management, risk transfer, and structured solutions
  • Start-up experience from building a firm from the ground up
  • Negotiation skills; involvement broking deals side by side with CAC colleagues
  • Quantitative analysis utilizing modeling and actuarial review
  • Familiarity with corporate risk management terms
  • Professional presentation development skills
  • Team building and collaboration experiences
  • Rising senior actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Have strong communication, networking, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Preferred prior working experience (can include part-time or over school breaks)
  • Adaptable to change and enjoys learning in a fast-paced environment
  • Long term interest in joining CAC Specialty
