Job Summary: 

We are searching for a talented and driven teammate who will excel in navigating complex selling and partnership processes with health plans and systems. You will play an essential role in the growth of the Wellinks COPD disease management offering. Through your success, you will give people living with COPD access to life-changing care and help our partners improve outcomes at a lower cost.

The Partnerships Director will report into commercial leadership and is responsible for building and executing a strategy to identify, access, and launch high-impact targets. Initially, this will largely be an individual contributor role and success will require an entrepreneurial approach to identifying opportunities and closing deals.  The ability to be both operational and strategic is essential, given the size and phase of our organization. 


This role is ideal for results-oriented individual who thrives through creative problem solving. The ideal candidate has deep experience working with, or inside of, health plans. They have active relationships with critical decision makers and champions who influence solution evaluation and selection within their organization. Success in this fast-paced role will require a deep understanding of value-based healthcare, health plans, Medicare Advantage, managed care, creative selling & dealmaking strategies, and strategic relationship management. Prior experience with new and innovative healthcare technologies or services is a must.   • Build new partnerships. Exceed company objectives for new account contracting, growth, and revenue metrics. Focusing specifically on health plans (largely MA, MCOs, DSNPs), systems, and risk-bearing provider groups (ACOs, IPAs).
  • Develop and execute a sales methodology that can be taught to others and scaled over time.
  • Establish deep relationships with stakeholders in payer and provider prospect organizations, including the maintenance of executive and team trust throughout selling process and through post-launch support.
  • Work closely with colleagues in marketing and sales development to optimize lead generation and discovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with implementation and account management team to ensure commercial success of active accounts.
  • Maintain and build disease state / virtual health industry knowledge, staying at the forefront of the rapid evolution of the field and ensuring subject matter expertise when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide voice of customer insights to colleagues across the enterprise.
  • Collect and communicate competitive intelligence information observed in the field or discovered in research.
  • As Wellinks grows and with demonstrated success in the role, opportunity to build and lead a team.
  • This role is remote-first, but may require travel, not to consistently exceed 50%.  


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience including prior work and relationships within the payer and health plan space including, but not limited to; Managed Medicaid, Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare, Commercial / Group, ACOs, DCEs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with innovative healthcare solutions, medical technologies, and services. Ideally including digital health / technology solutions for chronic conditions.
  • Demonstrated history of success advancing objectives and goals through a complex multi-stakeholder sales cycle or decision-making process.
  • Familiarity with contract development and negotiation, ideally having introduced and executed agreements with performance guarantees and/or value-based components.
  • Experience in a startup / management consulting / other fast-paced workplace culture.


Preferred Qualifications:  

  • MBA, MPH, or other relevant advance degree(s)
