Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must have a positive attitude that develops solutions for clients requests.
- Generate new design concepts through sketching and / or computer layouts. You will be required to keep client feedback, manufacturing, fabrication, production methods, budgets, and schedules in mind.
- Develop design concepts to finalized drawings or models and assemblies. Use appropriate presentation techniques to generate design packages for client reviews, shop drawings, and installation sheets.
- Mechanical knowledge relating to the design and fabrication of custom interactive components incorporated into many of our customers experiences.
- Review and approve shop drawings from fabricators as needed.
- Participate in full design development from master planning, through to design completion for new projects by taking creative, original ideas and put them on paper using hand sketching and/or electronic drawing skills.
- Must be able to understand and convey scale and perspective of designs in conceptual drawings, sketching, 3D modeling, Photoshop work, etc.
- Produce proposal deliverables, utilizing concept sketching as well as refined digital and manual renderings.
- Build prototypes and study models when necessary to gain a sense of scale and functionality.
- May be required to participate in on-site project installations in an advisory / oversight capacity to ensure that the clients design directives are maintained.
- Must be able to work and meet deadlines and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a knowledge of materials and methods of general construction, specialty fabrication, and graphic production.
- Assist with trade show duties.
- Assist other Designers as projects require.
- Other duties may be assigned by Directors, Principal or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
- Industrial Design or Graphic Design degree and/or 3-5 years relevant work experience required. A minimum of 5 years design experience is required in related industry.
Travel
Travel may be required up to 30%.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as client-produced content documents, design drawings, architectural and engineering drawings and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondences as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, develop creative solutions, accept constructive feedback and direction, and draw valid conclusions to implement the final deliverables for any given project.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully an individual should be proficient in 3D modeling software for design, concept, and production modeling. Utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-up, InDesign and other Adobe products for concept deliverables. Other digital modeling tools are a plus.

Must be eager and willing to quickly learn, operate and apply new software to improve quality and production efficiency. Must be able to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplined team environment. Must be able and willing to quickly transition between project assignments, based on other project deadlines within the company or client direction.
