American Academy (AA) is accepting applications for K-5th literacy/ability grouping instructors for the 2023-24 academic year. AA teachers work in teams, planning together and working together to ensure that every student in each grade receives the same great educational experience. Ability grouping teachers teach reading groups for two to three different grades (working with multiple grade-level teams) as well as one section of math. The reading groups are typically small and require intensive, data-driven, literacy instruction.

Meet each child’s academic needs through data-driven instruction.
Develop and maintain a positive partnership with parents through frequent communication of progress and concerns.
Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, students, and administration.
Timely upkeep of records including grades and assignments in Infinite Campus and updates on webpage.
