ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS – GRADUATE RECRUITMENT

 

Bridgewater College is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and professional individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Admissions for Graduate Recruitment.

 

The Assistant Director of Admissions for Graduate Recruitment will identify sources for new inquiries, manage an enrollment CRM database, create new partnerships, travel to recruitment events, organize information events, contact prospective students, and implement a communications strategy during the lead generation stage through application completion. During peak times of the recruitment cycle, the Assistant Director for Graduate Recruitment will aid in the undergraduate process.

 

The position works in close coordination with the Director of Admissions, Vice President of Enrollment Management, Dean for Graduate and Special Programs, the Office of Marketing and Communications, and individual graduate program directors.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop strategies for the search and communication to acquire new graduate student leads from on-campus, national, and international sources.
  • Collectively work with graduate program directors in the planning of on-campus and virtual events.
  • With the Office of Marketing and Communications (OMC) in creating and implementing an integrated communication plan for all graduate programs.
  • Provide timely and personalized follow-up communications to prospective students including calls, emails, text messages, and mailings.
  • Collaborate regularly with OMC to develop and maintain marketing and communication collateral, both digital and print.
  • Lead on-campus/off-campus recruitment activities including graduate fairs, university visits, conferences, and corporate visits.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for graduate student inquiries for all graduate programs prior to application.
  • Develop and implement communications and strategies designed to encourage inquiries to apply and follow-up communications pertaining to missing required application materials.
  • Monitor admission funnel activity (prospective through enrollment) to ensure enrollment goals are obtainable and inform key stakeholders across campus on data trends.
  • Work with Admissions, OMC, and program directors, to ensure all communications are prompt and on brand and that inquiries are provided high-quality customer service.
  • Assist admissions staff with graduate application annual updates.
  • Meet frequently with the graduate program directors to capture key elements of their program and turn them into effective talking points for students, colleagues, colleges, and organizations.
  • Create and utilize data reports to identify applicant/application trends, develop recruiting strategies, and project application numbers.
  • Assist with the undergraduate recruitment process (reviewing applications, speaking with prospective students, or leading campus tours) during peak times throughout the year.
  • Serve as the liaison with key undergraduate programs such as, but not limited to athletics and the Flory Honors program, and President’s Merit Award candidates.

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience within an Admissions Office required.
  • Graduate student recruiting experience OR experience in customer service and/or in a sales environment, an academic setting preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting college students and/or professionals preferred.
  • Capable of presenting to diverse audiences in a variety of venues required.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Poses strong organizational skills and ability to focus on details required.
  • Have high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism required.
  • Experience in building strategies to meet goals, implementing strategies, and revising them based on progress required.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with various constituencies to achieve strategic goals preferred.
  • Experience in marketing or communications preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and social media; experience with CRM software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

 

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
