The Aiken, SC plant produces approximately 1,000,000 miles of glass fiber reinforcement per day and operates on a 24/7/365 schedule. Our engineers and scientists have reinvented ultrafine glass fiber reinforcement manufacturing with proprietary, eco-friendly processes. Most notably, many of our production processes qualify as zero carbon footprint activities and the Aiken site has reduced its carbon footprint by 88% since 2002.


The Job

As Process Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing systems and equipment procedures used in the manufacturing of fiberglass products. You will be testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes, and conducting risk assessments. You will also be conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing, validating proper equipment setups after spec changes, establishing safety procedures, designing and planning equipment layout, conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production, troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes, evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and estimating production costs.

You are/have:

  • Can project how potential ideas may play out.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with fiberglass manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ready to be a part of a successful team.
