Summary

The Sales Associate will report directly to the VP National Accounts Group. This individual will work closely with other members of the National Accounts Group to grow the PlayCore family of products. The Sales Associate must be goal oriented and customer oriented in order to achieve or exceed the monthly and annual sales target and the company’s overall goal. This is a base sales position with additional support functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand and determine customer requirements and expectations in order to propose specific products and solutions.
  • Maintain existing customers and connecting with potential/new customers by providing accurate product information, superior service and technical expertise.
  • Generate new and repeat sales in order to achieve the sales growth target and increase the company’s presence in the marketplace.
  • Prepare daily customer quotes, orders and new projects submittal packages in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to the established pricing structure to ensure profitability.
  • Up sell and cross sell in order to increase sales, average order size and profitability.
  • Educate all customers on the features and the benefits of the entire product line in order to increase sales, improve company’s market share and deliver the total customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customers’ orders and shipment dates to ensure on-time delivery
  • Set up and maintain customer files regularly.
  • Establish customer follow up on a regular basis.
  • Fill customer requests for catalogs, product literature and product technical manuals.
  • Demonstrate a professional image at all times to customers.
  • Utilize CRM system for tracking lead, quote, and order activity.
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven sales track and meeting sales objectives.
  • Good computer skills

  • Positive phone voice and presence
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Team player and positive
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work under busy conditions and effectively multi-task and balance priorities
  • Educator background preferred

 

Travel

  • To tradeshows, conferences, and sales meetings as required.

 

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
