General Qualifications

The Lone Star Lights Event Staff should be a follower of Jesus, who is in accordance with Carolina Creek Christian Camps’ mission statement and statement of beliefs. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity. Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.

 

Position Objective

Would you like to bring joy to others during the Christmas season by helping them experience the love of Jesus? Lone Star Lights is an amazing family-friendly, walk-through Christmas light experience with live entertainment, fun activities for all ages, local vendors, and of course, lights! We are looking for friendly, reliable people to join our team. Our AV Tech staff will run the sound and video equipment at the Chuck Wagon experience

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Set up, operate maintain, and repair sound and video equipment

  • Run tests on videos, audio, and signals

  • Troubleshooting any problems that arise

  • Maintain a polite and warm attitude

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Attend all required staff meetings and events 

Pay

Pay is $75 per night with housing and meals provided

 

Dates

Setup Days: November 8-22 (Monday - Saturday generally from 9am - 6pm)

Event: November 24 - December 22 (Thursday - Sunday generally from 4pm - 11pm)

Strike (Reset): December 27 - January 17 (Monday - Saturday generally from 9am - 6pm)

 

Commitments can be made for the entire season (setup, event, and strike) or certain weeks.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Must have a current valid driver’s license.

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

 

Work Experience

  • Prior AV Tech  experience preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of camera and lighting techniques

  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills

  • Creativity and attention to detail

  • Team player but able to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations

  • Able to follow instructions well and ask for clarification if needed

  • Willing to serve in various roles as assigned

  • Willing to work in all types of weather conditions

 

Physical Demands:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in all types of weather (hot and humid conditions or extremely cold). Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, walking and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs possibly for long periods of time without breaks.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.

  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
