Position Description

The Solutions Architect is the primary technical resource for the Business Development and Client Success Teams to secure initial business and expand new business opportunities within existing client accounts. The Solutions Architect combines technical and industry knowledge with sales skills to advise clients on data security and privacy solutions designed to address their specific requirements. The Solutions Architect should understand the client's goals and challenges and work with the client to optimize solutions using the TokenEx platform. The Solutions Architect should serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert about data protection mechanisms and the relevant compliance and business ramifications of the application of those mechanisms. When not engaged by the Business Development and Client Success Teams, the Solutions Architect supports the Product Team by proposing enhancements to the TokenEx platform.

  • Subject matter expert on TokenEx platform and existing client use cases.
  • Understand how and why the TokenEx platform is used by clients and the limitations of the solutions to serve as a trusted advisor for the clients and internal TokenEx teams.
  • Clearly articulate the perceived value of the TokenEx platform for any given use case to various client stakeholders.
  • For each opportunity, collaborate with the Business Development Team, re-sellers of the platform, and existing clients to convey technical understanding of the use cases and solutions and the client's business, security, and compliance outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership and information in the form of documentation, demonstrations, integration artifacts, guidance, integration resources, and advice to advance the client's perceived value and technical understanding.
  • Obtain top tier certifications for the industry to demonstrate credibility and bolster the Solutions Architect's subject matter expertise.
  • Engage in consultative, professional services.
  • Add value throughout the sales process in the following areas:
    • Requirements analysis and technical qualification of sales opportunities
    • Solution development
    • In-depth product demonstrations
    • PCI Scope Reduction Analysis
    • Data Privacy and De-identification guidance
  • Support the product team by providing insights and context for enhancements and new products for the platform based on experience and feedback from prospective and existing clients, trade shows, webinars, and other sources of market feedback.
  • Provide support and convey contextual and technical information to Client Success, Support, Sales, and Product Development functions.
  • Collaborate with TokenEx technology alliances to facilitate technical evaluations of potential integrations.
  • Assist the GRC team in providing technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Support Marketing activities, such as tradeshows, webinars, as needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree, Degree in a STEM field is preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
  • Extensive technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with APIs, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
  • Experience within the payments industry working directly with customers/clients
  • Experience with data security/privacy and compliance such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, SOX, HIPAA, etc.
  • Experience with a Software-as-a-service business model
  • Experience working with and/or developing cloud-based RESTful APIs
  • Developer Experience is beneficial
