Medical Assistant, Full Time, 40 hours per week.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Medical Assistant works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent OB/Gyn care under the direction of the Certified Nurse Midwife. The Medical Assistant is the first clinical point of contact for patients, and they are expected to treat all patients with dignity, respect, and courtesy with the highest concern for quality of care.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Communication:

  • Public Relations: To treat all patients and outside contacts with respect, courtesy, and confidentiality while meeting their needs and expectations both in and out of the workplace.

Task Orientation:

  • Schedules and reschedules patients appropriately.
  • Guides patients to the proper contact within the medical office either directly, through voice mail or a message through Medical Records
  • Takes vital signs, records information. Triages patient for any problems/questions/complications. 
  • Assists with lab specimen preparation and collection.
  • Assists providers in the exam rooms.
  • Cleans room after patient exits.
  • Assists the Office Coordinator with laboratory, dictation, prescription refills etc.
  • Notates EHR with any medically necessary conversations with patients regarding their health care.

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual Preferred - Spanish

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program, or equivalent experience

 

PROVIDER ETHICAL AGREEMENT

Marisol Health strives to provide excellent, evidenced base care that is also morally sound. Providers and staff at Marisol Health have agreed to follow the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services as issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $23.00/Hour Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Schedule- Day - Monday - Friday

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career.  Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.
