Location: Headquarters, NYC
Position: Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is highly motivated and detail-oriented with strong understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles and have the ability to manage multiple assignments in a timely manner. He/She will report to the Accounting Manager and will assist with the development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and maintain financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Participate in the monthly close process
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 1 year of related experience
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills is a plus
- Must be able to manage time and multiple assignments
- Good communication skills required
