Description

Assist the Special Events team with planning and executing events during live racing and non-racing seasons. This will include night and weekend events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Race Meet

  • Assist the Special Event Team in preparing for the race meet including ticketing, room setup and general logistics.

  • Represent Keeneland by meeting with clients the day-of the event and ensuring they have an excellent experience.

Non-Race Meet

  • Assist the Event Sales Manager in designing marketing content for both social media and print.

  • Observing client intake and event logistics for a variety of occasions including weddings, receptions and corporate events.

  • Shadow site visits with groups and individuals.

  • Prepare informational packets for site visits.

  • Return phone calls to prospective clients and gather event information.

  • Assist with onsite event management and set-up.

  • Manage and design directional signage for events.

  • Plan and execute assigned internal events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be available on weekends and have a flexible class schedule to hold 10-15 office hours during non-race meet months and 20 hours during the race meet.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.

  • Food/beverage experience is a benefit but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
