Position Title: Staff Accountant

Overview:
Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month – end close: expense reporting, accrual entries, balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage vendor relationships and invoices from SAT (tax authority) systems.
- Assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts monthly.
- Fulfilling documental support to ensure compliance with labor, tax, and other government agencies (e.g. on-time payments compliments, xml files in Contpaq, etc.).
- Manage and track fixed assets inventory.
- Provide accounting support to internal staff—research and respond to inquiries and questions.
- Evaluate, review, and provide feedback on new processing software features.
- Pantry voucher management: new account setups, accounts maintenance, batch preparation.
- Prepare weekly payment run.
- Download settlements from central bank.
- Other job duties, responsibilities and special projects assigned as needed.

- Ability to manage and analyze large data sets.
- Advanced Excel skills –Pivot Tables, vlookups, data tables.
- IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills; confidence to work at all levels of the company.
- Knowledge of NIF, IFRS and GAAP compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting principles.
- CFDI proficiency: payroll, invoices, payment compliments, etc.
- Experience using automated accounting systems & cloud-based software (CONTPAQ experience preferred).
- General math skills.
- Professional Proficiency in English - all communications will be in English.
