Description

Primary Job Function

This person is responsible for assembling and attaching components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, and other equipment to complete units or sub-assemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or on the floor, check for proper fit or adjustment and make necessary adjustments.        

Note: This position operates on Day Shift (6am - 2:30pm)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reads travelers, prints and assembly documentation
  • Assembles parts or sub-parts using power or hand tools; checks for proper fit, makes adjustments
  • Performs visual inspection of completed assembly
  • May assist with packaging and shipping or other production areas as needed
  • May instruct and direct less experienced operators
  • Cleans and organizes workstation
  • Maintains tools
  • Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment
  • Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.

  • Ability to use tools including (but not limited to):
    • Rivet gun
    • Wrenches, screw drivers
    • Impact wrenches
    • Torque drive tooling
    • Various power/hand tools
  • Accurate usage of tape measure
  • Fixture and Testing equipment
  • Basic math and measurement skills                              
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime as required
