Description

The Marketing Video Intern will assist the digital marketing team in planning, organizing, and creating video content for Keeneland’s social media channels during Keeneland’s live events and throughout the year. This internship includes the filming, editing, and producing of video content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Filming: Work alongside marketing and production resources to capture video footage on your preferred camera equipment and/or iPhone of live events and behind the scenes content during the off-season.
  • Editing and Post-Production: Utilize video editing software to assist in the editing process, including organizing footage, assembling rough cuts, adding graphics or effects, and refining final edits for various projects.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop ideas for new video content that aligns with Keeneland's brand identity and audience interests.
  • Social Media Support: Contribute to the ideation and creation of video content optimized for social media platforms, ensuring that content is engaging, shareable, and aligns with our social media strategy.
  • Research and Development: Stay informed about emerging trends, as well as best practices for storytelling and audience engagement, and share insights with the team.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide general support to the marketing team, including organizing files, logging footage, scheduling shoots, and other administrative duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled or recently earned a degree in Media Arts & Studies, Marketing, Communications, Integrated Strategic Communications, Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Strong passion for video production and storytelling, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs plus general social media video editing.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of past video work (through social media account, online portfolio, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of camera operation and cinematography principles.
  • Knowledge of horse racing or a willingness to learn about the sport and its unique culture, preferred.
  • Experience & familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage projects and meet deadlines; creative and flexible.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to follow Keeneland’s policies and procedures.
