JOB SUMMARY: The position’s primary responsibility is the execution of production duties as assigned by the Technical Director and Audio Manager. This includes, but is not limited to, regular inventory and maintenance of WAC audio/video department equipment, stage prep and restore for all WAC events and presentations, and oversight of local crew during work calls. Additionally, the Lead Technicians will work with touring productions, executing cues and performing duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of all performances. This position specializes in audio and video, but will collaborate with the rest of the production team as needed.

 Execute stage prep, load-ins, show calls, load-outs and restores as part of the production team
 Lead local crew in work calls
 Ensure safe practices and WAC protocols are adhered to
 Identify members of local crew for training and development
 Perform regular maintenance and inventory of WAC production equipment
 Stage manage as assigned
 Other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: At least 3 years of experience in sound engineering and live mixing for professional theatre is required. Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or related field preferred. A strong team leader is essential for this position, as well as the ability to work in a physical environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and to work at heights. Must be able to independently set up, troubleshoot and operate sound reinforcement systems.
