Asset Artist Contractor-10 months

 

Deck Nine Games is currently hiring an Asset Artist Contractor/Project Employee to help craft an interactive cinematic video game for a AAA publisher. The right candidate is an experienced 3D Artist with experience designing realistic props for video games.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with lead environment artist and game designers to deliver assets that meet the needs of the milestone
  • Researching references for props when needed
  • Creating prototypes for lead and director review then working the asset through to completion
  • Design and create props with user experience in mind
  • Maintaining your production documentation for asset tracking.
  • Work core hours and be available to attend meetings between 10-4 MST
Requirements
  • AAA Skill level for making realistic looking props
  • Working knowledge of Unreal
  • Shipped at least 1 game
  • AAA understanding of visual language - texture, color, dimension, scale, perspective, shade, composition, proportion, spatial awareness.
  • File organization and time management skills
  • Ability to be a team player and work independently
  • Solid working knowledge of latest design techniques and technologies
  • High level communication skills when working remote and in person.
  • English speaking
