Within Anne Arundel County
Daytime
Non-Direct Support Professional/ Administrative

Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 1600 participant employers enrolled statewide, our Fiscal Management Services (FMS) team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with (I/DD) in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice. Expanding our administrative capacity when it comes to accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities is mission-critical work that allows us to live up to our mission as a team.

The Employer Resources Administrator, Self-Directed Services, will be responsible for managing and processing unemployment requests, workers' compensation claims, and verification of employment. The Employer Resources Administrator, in partnership with Employer Resources leadership will provide training, customer service support, and process guidance to participants and their team members from onboarding and throughout their time with The Arc. You will report to the Director of Employer Resources and work collaboratively with program participants and their employees, support team members, and their stakeholders, to promote the most efficient and effective resolution strategies across all FMCS processes.

Qualifications

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelor’s degree in business or human resources is strongly preferred. This position also requires a minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources that involves workers compensation administration, unemployment processing, and applying basic employment law requirements. This role includes professional development and continued education, as well as a competitive benefits package. While this is a remote position, the candidate must be able to travel to our Severn, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for quarterly meetings as needed.
