SENIOR ONBOARDING SPECIALIST, SELF-DIRECTED SERVICES

Job Details

Severn Regional Office - Severn, MD
Fully Remote
Full Time
High School/ GED
$26.75 Hourly
Within Anne Arundel County
Daytime
Non-Direct Support Professional/ Administrative

Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.

Even though we are the largest self-directed services provider in Maryland with over 2,200 Participant employers enrolled statewide, our Self-Directed Services team is anything but impersonal. The work we do directly supports employers with IDD in experiencing greater self-determination, independence, and choice in their services.

As we build the future of self-direction in Maryland, the Senior Onboarding Specialist will provide administrative support, a high level of customer service, and guide Participants through The Arc’s onboarding processes for their employees. The primary role of the Senior Onboarding Specialist is facilitating the efficient and timely hiring of new employees, including all processes around onboarding, document maintenance, and training compliance. Being detail oriented and thorough will be especially important when processing Participant and employee transitions to The Arc from other providers, when Participants need services in crisis, and when barriers to onboarding are encountered. The Senior Onboarding Specialist will collaborate with leadership, program Participants, their employees, support team members, and other stakeholders to promote the most efficient and effective resolution strategies across all processes, ensuring equal treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a high level of customer service experience, be bilingual in Spanish or multilingual, and will have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in difficult situations. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, though a bachelor’s degree in business or human resources is preferred, along with a minimum of three years of experience in human resources processing onboarding and new hire documentation using an HRIS system. This position comes with a competitive total rewards package and is a fully remote position, though the candidate must be able to travel to our Linthicum, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for meetings as needed.
