Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Put safety above all
  • Provide exemplary service to internal and external customers.
  • Focus System Operations Control Center (SOC) on the timeliness and quality of their communications among themselves, with other divisions of the Company, and with external stakeholders including aircraft owners/lessors, customers.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Flight Operations, Inflight, Maintenance, and Airport Operations management. Assure there is a constant and timely flow of information between all departments in the SOC and in the field of operations.
  • Ensure that personnel in SOC buy-in to the Company's common visions related to safety, workplace morale, processes, procedures, and the over-arching company culture.
  • Maintain sufficient staffing of Dispatch and Crew Scheduling personnel to provide adequate operational control, customer service and support efficient operations.
  • Provide superior technical leadership and guidance to the managers of flight operations.
  • Provide financial leadership with a focus on efficient utilization of aircraft and flight crews.
  • Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures to establish standards throughout SOC.
  • Provide analysis and advice to Director of Operations regarding issues as it relates to flight operations and cost control.
  • Execute operation plans during irregular operations caused by weather, ATC, maintenance, or security disruptions.
  • Manage the operational resources of the airline to ensure maximum operational performance as measured by completion factor and on-time arrival performance.
  • Effectively manage a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation.
  • Expand Initial and Recurrent Dispatch Training.
  • Conducts performance reviews for Flight Coordinators and Crew Schedulers.
  • Conduct coaching and counseling sessions with Flight Coordinators and Crew Schedulers as needed. Issue appropriate corrective action when warranted.
  • Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures to establish standards throughout the Systems Operational Control center.
  • Provide analysis and advice to Director of Operations regarding issues as it relates to flight operations and cost control
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Hold a FAA Dispatch Certificate.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Knowledgeable of dispatch and crew scheduling systems such as FOS, Sabre, CCS, and Crew Trac.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • Able to pass a DOT Pre-Employment drug screening and submit to random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Be able to communicate maintenance information and recommendations to non-technical personnel in an informative manner.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Must have recent experience working in a Part 121 operations.
