We have served the community for almost 65 years by strengthening communities and empowering individuals to reach optimal mental wellness. Internships are one of the many ways in which EveryMind is helping to build the next generation of mental health service providers. Internships are available for a semester or the entire school year. Our internships may be paid or unpaid, depending on the program. Interns will be eligible for school credit. Weekly supervision is provided to interns.

 

EveryMind is seeking interns to join our Linkages to Learning and School and Community Youth Services teams. Both programs are community-school partnerships with an integrated focus on health, social services, community development, and engagement to support student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred. The internship will provide interns with an opportunity to develop the following skills: 

  • Provide case management services to students’ caregivers.
  • Plan and facilitate groups in school-based settings for caregivers and/or students.
  • Work with community stakeholders on various projects/events, including outreach and collection of donations.
  • Collaborate with school administration and/or staff in the support of families.
  • Collect data and conduct needs assessments.
  • Work directly with care manager and clients to help them achieve self-sufficiency by connecting them with resources and supports in the community.
  • Assist clients with food resources and support.

EveryMind is seeking interns to support the Family Empowerment Institute (FEI). FEI is a community-school partnership with an integrated focus on providing families with skills and tools to achieve self-sufficiency.  This is done through a variety of trainings and/or classes that support student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. Bilingual in Spanish is required. The internship will provide interns with an opportunity to develop the following skills: 

  • Keep records of FEI program and services
  • Support with the administrative tasks of FEI program
  • Create flyers and other community outreach communication.
  • Plan and support with implementation of classes/workshops.
  • Provide case management services to students’ caregivers. 
  • Collect data and conduct training evaluations through surveys.
  • Work with a diverse, multicultural population. 
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Working with immigrant and/or low-income families.
