Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Research, draft and track presentations, proposals, and RFP responses to facilitate the generation of business development leads.
  • Follow-up with attorneys for status updates of new business opportunities.
  • Assist with the development and execution of business development plans for attorney practice groups and individuals.
  • Work directly with attorneys as a business development coach, in conjunction with the Director of Business Development.
  • Research, analyze and identify opportunities in key industry sectors and with target clients.
  • Analyze competitors and their service offerings and identify opportunities to raise the profile of the practice groups and their attorneys.
  • Coordinate collection of internal business development newsletter materials and work with Marketing Technology Coordinator to create and distribute monthly newsletter.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that efforts are efficient and synchronized across business development support services.
  • Manage and execute conference and tradeshow support and client-facing social events (meet and greets, seminars).
  • Coordinate planning and execution of events and sponsorship with attorneys and external organizations.

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understand functionality of all office equipment and systems
  • Plan and execute firm communications and coordinate efforts with other offices.
  • Attend educational workshops, join professional associations, build networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing of industry publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular office attendance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or business.
  • 3+years of business development or strategy experience within a professional services or law firm, preferred.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner, meet deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • Must exhibit sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and template-based SaaS products.
