Job Summary:

Since 1977, Woodfin Heating has been serving the greater Richmond community. As an extension of the home delivery fuel service, Pit Stop convenience stores were created. Our convenience stores provide high-quality Exxon fuels at neighborhood prices while offering a fast, friendly shopping experience. There are 17 Pit Stop locations in Virginia as far east as Hampton, as far north as Ladysmith and as far west as Lexington. We are looking for talented, self-motivated individuals to join our team.   • 45% SERVE CUSTOMERS
    by providing assistance; greeting customers when they enter the store; inviting the customer to return; maintaining a neat and clean appearance; resolving customer complaints.
  • 25% MAINTAINS STORE OPERATIONS
    by receiving payments from customers; running the register; issuing correct change; maintaining proper cash levels in register; counting and verifying cash, cigarettes, lottery and Total at end of shift.
  • 25% PROVIDES A SAFE AND CLEAN STORE ENVIRONMENT
    by stocking shelves and cooler; keeping cooler organized; keeping back room and storage organized; keeping shelves clean; cleaning windows and doors; sweeping and mopping floor; keeping grounds of store clean and trash free; emptying trash cans; cleaning restrooms regularly.
  • 5% CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
    by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by providing assistance, greeting customers when they enter the store, inviting the customer to return, maintaining a neat and clean appearance
  • Provides a clean and safe store environment
  • Prepare and serve food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) while following all food safety and heath code regulations
  • Keeping the work space and kitchen clean at all times
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Job duties include but are not limited to food prep, cooking food, serving food, basic cleaning and food safety training.

Job Qualifications:

  • Flexible Availability

  • Work Permit (Current Students) 

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with good verbal communications skills

  • Punctuality required

  • Reliable and dependable transportation

  • Professional appearance and proper attire

  • A positive and can do attitude 

  • Minimum of 17 years of age
