SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Performs custodial maintenance duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning of restrooms, employee break area, kitchen area, common areas, offices, Dispatch Operations area, Administrative area, and Basement. Restocking supplies in restrooms, employee break area, basement, kitchen areas and other areas as needed. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Assists with snow removal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are all essential functions of the position of Facility Technician. They are not in order of importance or priority.
- Dusting of all offices, communications center, and common areas.
- Cleans and mops tiled floors in kitchen area, employee break area, restrooms and common areas.
- Vacuums carpeted areas.
- Cleans restrooms and restocks paper and soap supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles and bags trash for proper disposal.
- Secures doors after cleaning certain areas.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Cleans windows of all offices and lower Dispatch Operation and Common Area.
- Maintains inventory for cleaning supplies, restroom, kitchen and coffee area supplies. Other general supplies as needed.
- Assists with snow removal.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
