Database and Donor Specialist - Part Time Benefited - 20 hours per week.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the Development Department in administering the departments database to support donor, volunteer, grant, and prospect related activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer financial reconciliation and processing of confidential donor related information.
  • Accurately input all data, valuate, categorize and record confidential Development-related material for gift recording and donor records according to department protocols, including but not limited to gift entry, deposit reconciliation, documentation and filing
  • Create records and maintain the integrity of records through research and updates
  • Record all revenue received in a timely manner
  • Perform merchant credit card reconciliation
  • Interface with Finance Department on a monthly basis, and as needed, to reconcile contributions and perform the necessary tasks including, but not limited to, posting to the general ledger and receivable reconciliations
  • Develop, maintain, and train users in database best practices.
  • Interface with vendors as needed Generate reports for annual audit
  • Generate and process gift acknowledgment letters for monetary and gifts in-kind, invoices, and receipts
  • Generate year-end donor tax receipts as requested
  • Maintain volunteer data as needed, including contact information and hours, and generate reports as needed
  • Generate and maintain mailing and donor lists
  • Generate ad-hoc and standardized reports for Development, Finance and other departments as needed including campaigns, funds and appeals
  • Support agency events including mailing lists, sponsor and budget management, registration/donation forms, and event execution
  • Support Development Department activities related to mailings, appeals, events, stewardship and publications
  • Respond to phone inquiries; maintain office supplies; keep meeting minutes
  • Provide administrative support to the Development team as directed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Associates degree and two years related experience, or
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree with related experience.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with Blackbaud Raisers Edge Software or similar CRM database software preferred.

  • None required.
