Job Description:

This job contributes to JuiceLand’s success by assisting the Shop Leader in executing store operations. The Assistant Shop Leader is responsible for helping maintain and create our JuiceLand culture, and upholding excellent service for our guests and crew. This person advocates for the JuiceLand brand and spreads the JuiceLand mission. This position reports to Shop Manager.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays if needed. Must be available to work on Shop Leader scheduled days off and be willing to work with Shop Leader’s schedule

  • 2 or more years of experience in a role that requires frequent interaction with guests, fulfilling the requests of guests and responsibility for addressing guest issues, questions and suggestions

  • 1 or more years of experience training employees to adhere to policies, quality and standards

  • Ability to manage store operations independently

  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously

  • Ability to remain calm and quickly resolve any problems that come up

  • Ability to analyze problems and make sound judgments based on objectives, risks, implications, and cost

  • Ability to use discretion in providing directions to others

  • Excellent guest service, organizational & communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fills all roles and responsibilities of entry level crew members and is fully trained on all roles in the shop leading up to Assistant Shop Leader

  • Models a guest-comes-first attitude, delivers legendary guest service, and supervises employees to ensure they are upholding JuiceLand’s guest service standards

  • Ensures crew maintain high level of quality and consistency with all product that goes out to guests

  • Supports store manager in implementing JuiceLand programs and initiatives by working directly with the crew to execute action plans that meet operational and organization objectives

  • Perform all cash handling requirements of a manager in charge including closeouts, tips, safe accountability, cash drops, and safe cash-handling practices

  • Communicates via Trello to all needed parties, according to JuiceLand standards

  • Places orders delegated by Shop Leader, including but not limited to produce orders, NetSuite, supplements, and retail

  • Conducts, or assists in conducting employee evaluations.

Working Conditions:

  • Constant standing/walking

  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps.

  • Constant computer/POS Register and equipment usage.

  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.

  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around shop

  • Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication.

  • Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas with crew.

  • Occasional Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors.
