Description & Requirements of Our Senior Accountant
As our Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of financial functions including variance analysis, analytics support, processing journal entries, financial statement audits, research, and other accounting functions. You will have the opportunity to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Some of your key responsibilities will include calculating complex accruals related to non-qualified deferred compensation and others, managing and implementing cost accounting practices for the company, and ensuring financial transactions and events have been recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. You will also be responsible for fixed asset accounting and reporting, completing and overseeing quarterly account reconciliations, and providing analytical support for Controller, CFO, and Executive Management.
In addition, you will conduct research on generally accepted accounting principles when needed and present findings to Controller or management. You will also seek to improve processes and develop best practices to ensure quality results and overall efficiency. High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines, and strong organizational and time management skills are crucial for success in this role.
We are looking for a team player who has a client-first attitude and natural ability to build rapport with team members at all levels of the firm. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as being process-oriented and adhering to Savant’s internal processes.

- This is a full-time position, with an average of 40-45 hours per week.
- This position has the flexibility to be based in any one of our Chicagoland offices.
- After the training period, you can expect the flexibility to have a hybrid work model of two days from home, and three in office.
