About This Role

The Line Cook II is dedicated, experienced with a passion for preparing high-quality dishes, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with our restaurant’s recipes and standards. Energy, enthusiasm, the ability to execute, value-alignment, performing all duties with an eye to risk management, and customer focus are key to achieving success in this role.

Key Responsibilities may Include:

  • Directs food preparation and collaborates with restaurant chef on weekly specials
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies ready for service
  • Execute food orders according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen team members
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation
  • Inform leadership team of any failures of or maintenance needs of any company equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years kitchen management experience required in both a la carte & banquet operations
  • Minimum 5 years of line cook experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work extended hours when business necessitates
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to eight (8) hours or more in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Read, write and speak and understand English
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) language skills preferred
  • SD Food Handlers Permit Required
