A publicly traded manufacturer of consumer security products that has gone from start-up with annual revenues less than $1 million in 2019 and projected revenue upwards of $65 million in 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and SEC reporting.
  • Manages relations with auditors and audit planning and coordination.
  • Participates in investor relations, presentations, and meetings.
  • Manages banking relationships and transactions.
  • Maintains and controls the company’s capital chart and stock compensation transactions and accounting.
  • Responsible for internal control policy, procedures, and compliance.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process including oversight of annual budget preparation and on-going forecasting activities and reporting.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion when necessary.
  • Manages legal issues and maintains communications with the Company’s attorneys.
  • Responsible for risk management and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in public company financial management required.
  • Previous experience as a CFO preferred. Candidates with corporate level, divisional or business unit controller may be considered.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
