About This Role

The Line Cook  is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of excellence. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Energy, enthusiasm, the ability to execute, value-alignment, performing all duties with an eye to risk management, and customer focus are key to achieving success in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities may Include:

  • The Line Cook sets up workstations, equipment and ingredients for chefs and cooks, adhering to opening and closing requirements
  • Must have various cooking methods and procedures of foods in preparation for delivery to customers
  • Maintains a clean and hygienic work area in accordance with food safety standards
  • Ensure equipment is maintained properly and is in appropriate working order
  • Adhere to safety, grooming and appearance standards
  • Partner with teammates throughout the organization to drive operational efficiency and excellent customer experience
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food preparation
  • Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant preferred

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to stand or walk for eight (8) hours or more in a fast-paced environment requiring movement
  • Ability to lift-up-to 50 pounds
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) language skills preferred
  • Knowledge of following recipes and scaling recipes if needed
  • California Food Handler’s Card required
