Manufacturing Engineer II

• Develop and implement processes in a manufacturing environment; make recommendations for improvements to production methods
• Layout and install new equipment and/or machine upgrades
• Support manufacturing operations such as: machining, tooling, welding, and assembly
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting to identify root cause and corrective actions for machine downtime
• Familiarity with robotics (or a willing to learn) programming. Yaskawa and/or Fanuc preferred
• Advises on design, fabrication, and modification of products for manufacturability
• Regularly interact with Industrial Designers, Design Engineers and other team members on design.
• Create work instructions, develop bill of materials, provide auto-cut files for the plants.
• Lead manufacturing plants on product introduction and launches 
• Employ Lean and Six Sigma concepts and practices; conduct Kaizen events
• May assign work to technical staff and manufacturing personnel

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior pattern making, sewing and upholstery skills or must be willing to learn.
• Preferred Accumark Design/Accunest and Cutworks software a plus, but can train.
• Strong engineering mindset. Design, develop, build and test mentality
• Analytical and problem-solving skills a must. Good focus on root cause solutions
• Great organizational and planning skills, able to multi-task.
• Experience in a Lean/Six Sigma environment
