Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorney calendars and assist in meeting deadlines.
  • Screen attorney incoming calls.
  • Manage all incoming mail; prepare outgoing correspondence.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize estate planning documents.
  • Open new files, prepare conflicts checks and draft engagement letters.
  • Process monthly client billing, attorney time entry, and general office responsibilities.
  • Prepare client binder of completed Estate planning documents.
  • Maintain attorneys’ client files.
  • On site attendance as required for this position
  • Understand functionality of all office equipment and systems.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of attorneys.

 

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including advanced use of MS Word.
  • Proficient in the use of document management systems (iManage preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills; very detail- oriented.
  • Strong client-first work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Legal assistant experience, preferably working in an estate planning practice group.
  • Associate degree or equivalent of business experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office Suite
