Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage in an interactive, Rotational Program where you will gain meaningful hands on experience in all the departments of the agency (Sales, Client Services, Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Loss Control, Bonds, & Executive level)
  • Work  on  a  team  to  create  an  industry  focused  presentation  for  the  Internship Competition, with a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship
  • Participate in a “Buckner Cares” volunteer activity
  • Assist Client Service Managers and Sales Professionals with processing:
    • Certificates of Insurance
    • Evidence of Insurance
    • Auto ID Cards
    • Process endorsements
    • Prepare policies
    • Request loss runs from expiration lists
    • Enroll accounts in the Agency Management System
    • Miscellaneous clerical duties as needed to maintain adequate service to our insured’s, Client Service Managers and Sales Professionals
  • Work closely with full time Sales Professionals in soliciting, servicing, and developing relationships with both potential and current Buckner clients
    • Will include but will not be limited to cold calling, generating prospect lists, gathering information, filling out applications, working with underwriters, and developing relationships with prospects

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of or experience in the insurance industry preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking and writing

The employee is also required to sit for long periods of time often in front of a computer monitor and operate a computer keyboard. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
