Position Overview:

The Ticketing Representative is responsible for providing exemplary customer service to our Patrons both in their daily box office duties and as a source of information with regards to Walton Arts Center/Walmart AMP, Client programming, as well as community-wide information whenever possible.

 

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Sell, process, and print tickets
  • Help solve ticketing issues
  • Maintain the highest level of accuracy with regard to all ticket-related and financial transactions
  • Maintain cash drawers with appropriate change
  • Communicate the organizations mission and reinforce the brand
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

EDUCATION, TRAINING, TRAITS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to operate windows-based systems (Tessitura)
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Customer Service or Sales experience
  • Experience working in Arts or other non-profit organizations preferred

PHYSICAL

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
