Job Description

We are offering a new and unique internship opportunity within our Logistics team at our HQ in Brooklyn, NY.  This position will offer a hands-on experience, taking a deep dive into our trucking logistics operation with an opportunity to present project findings to senior leadership at Acme and leading to a larger impact within the organization.  We anticipate this internship lasting ~2 – 3 months.                                                                    


 

What You Will Do At Acme:

 

  • Project:  Complete a time study with Acme’s Brooklyn, NY based fleet across all trucking routes, collecting time-based data on travel time, delivery times, etc.
     
  • Data Collection and Analysis:  You will collect and evaluate all time-based data from riding along each route with current Acme fleet team.  Upon multiple ride alongs, you will analyze the data and prepare a comprehensive report to be shared with Acme senior leadership.
     

About You

Your Education & Experience:
 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with time studies preferred.
  • Prior experience in research, data analysis, or logistics preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with desire to collect and interpret data.
  • Positive communication with ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and present information effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to travel (locally).


 

Physical Requirements:
 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and riding in a work truck and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Work Environment – vary based on role.

 


Compensation:  $17.00/hr - $23.00/hr.
