Our over 200 providers take care of the health of approximately 200,000 patients at more than 100 clinical offices throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and Nassau County.
Job Title: Psychiatrist (per-diem/part-time)
Department: Mental Health Care
Location: Brooklyn
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and psychopharmacologic management for patient with mental health disorders
- Develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed
- Provide crisis interventions for patient or family as needed
- Collaborate care with psychotherapist on cases requiring behavioral treatment
- Coordinate care with family, community organizations or other agencies as needed
- Document evaluations, psychopharmacologic, and individual/family therapy interventions timely at EMR system
- Participate in network activities such as team meetings, provider meetings, grand rounds, and training sessions
Requirements:
- MD or DO from accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Board eligibility or certification in Psychiatry
- 2+ years of experience preferred but all welcome
- Current and unrestricted New York State license and DEA number
- Commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care to patients
- Strong clinical, consultative and communication skills
- Ability to work under intense pressure and respond to difficult questions
- Knowledge of and experience in EMR system.
- Bilingual English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred
