The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems used in our chemical manufacturing processes. This includes working with compressors, turbines, pumps, mixers, and other rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a similar industrial environment and a solid understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and rebuild compressors, turbines, mixers, clarifiers, and various types of pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, gear, mag drive).
- Install and repair mechanical seals in pumps and agitators.
- Use precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, feeler gauges) for maintenance and alignment tasks.
- Perform shaft alignment using both reverse indicator and laser alignment techniques.
- Install and repair piping systems as required.
- Apply knowledge of lubrication best practices and perform routine lubrication routes.
- Read and interpret mechanical equipment drawings, maintenance procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Work safely in confined spaces and adhere to housekeeping standards.
- Respond to callouts, work overtime, and adapt to rotating shifts as needed.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in mechanical maintenance or industrial technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of millwright or mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or chemical manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated experience with rotating equipment such as compressors, steam turbines, multistage pumps, and mixers.
- Proficient in using precision tools and performing alignment procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and elevated environments.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and willingness to follow strict safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to after-hours callouts as required.

This role requires physical activity including standing, climbing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions. Proper PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times.
